Testimonials

You delivered a highly informative and extremely enjoyable lesson in the art of performance and presentation awareness. It was clear, structured and always fun and by the end it was clear we had all got a lot out of it, as the singing demonstrated - what a wonderful jubilant sound!!  Thank you for how well you pitched it. You were never critical but got your points across effectively without treading on the more sensitive toes - a great deal of thought had gone into it and I appreciated the way you included me. Great work all round!!! I know for a fact the girls thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a lot. We will build on this now and I am sure we will work together again in the not too distant future.

Rob Young – Musical Director, Military Wives Choir

Brunel Harmony, a ladies barbershop chorus based in Saltash, invited Melissa to work with us on our choreography package for our national contest in 2012.  She hadn't before worked in the barbershop field (where one third of the contest marks are awarded for visual presentation/entertainment value) but she designed an exciting and original visual presentation for us, and then taught it and coached us.  Most of us are not natural movers - and certainly not dancers! - but Melissa is Mrs Positive and did nothing but encourage us, so that we achieved more marks than ever before. She has since worked on other high-spec visual packages for us including a Broadway set, and ran a "movement" workshop for us which our singers hugely enjoyed.  As a choral director whose chief concern is producing good singing and music, Melissa is a joy to work with - considerate and accommodating of my overall vision, and willing to work within it, whilst not being reticent in making suggestions for improvement.  The chorus members also respond well to her teaching, enjoy her sessions and work with a will to improve in her eyes.  We are looking forward to developing our latest contest package with her in 2015.

Delyth Knight - Musical Director, Brunel Ladies Harmony Chorus

Melissa proved to be a fantastic asset to me and the guys in our barbershop quartet '2Up2Down'. She gave us some fantastic performance tips and choreographed moves for two songs. Melissa injects fun into her teaching methods and has proved to be highly popular with other singing groups. She works with her clients to ascertain not only what they want, but how she can improve on what they already have.  I thoroughly recommend Melissa without reserve.

John Morris - Marketing Manager, The Kingsmen Barbershop Harmony Chorus

She was a delight to work with and her contributions gave our men added confidence in bringing to life the meaning of our songs. While brimming with great ideas she nevertheless can adapt to the requirements of the group or individual.  With her help we managed to win the UK small chorus award in 2013. We would have no hesitation in employing her again.

Dermod Drought – Chairman, Western Approach

We are all thrilled to have taken part in the workshop last night and thank you so much for running it for us. It was very evident that the workshop had an immediate effect on the ladies’ performance.  We all look forward to working with you again very soon.
