Adult Dance Classes

Adult Ballet for Absolute Beginners (Mon 7:45 - 8:30 pm - Starting in April)

Our Adult Ballet Class for Absolute Beginners has been created especially for adults with no prior dance experience.  If you’ve ever been curious about ballet, wanted to improve your posture, or simply wished to try something new in a supportive environment, this class is for you.  Across 12 structured weekly sessions, you will be introduced to the fundamental principles of classical ballet in a clear, progressive way. We focus on building strong foundations — posture, alignment, turnout, coordination, and musicality — so that you develop correct technique from the start.  The pace is steady and supportive, with plenty of explanation and repetition to help you feel secure and capable.

Adult Ballet for Improvers (Wed 6:45 - 7:45 pm)

Our adult ballet classes are perfect for those looking to build on existing skills in a friendly, encouraging environment. Classes focus on developing strength, flexibility, coordination, and musicality, with exercises adapted to suit all levels of experience. Some prior ballet training is needed to take part in this class.

Adult Ballet for Experienced Dancers (Thu 7:30 - 8:30 pm)

Our adult ballet classes for experienced dancers offer a dynamic and challenging environment to refine technique, artistry, and performance quality. Designed for those with previous ballet training, these classes follow a structured format that includes barre and centre work, helping dancers maintain and deepen their skills in a supportive and inspiring setting.

Silver Swans (Age 55+ yrs) (Fri 11 - 11:45 am)

Our Silver Swans ballet classes are specially designed for older learners, following the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. These ballet classes focus on improving mobility, posture, coordination, and overall wellbeing in a fun, supportive atmosphere — no previous dance experience required.

Adult Jazz (Wed 7:45 - 8:45 pm)

Our adult jazz classes are fun, high-energy sessions that begin with a lively warm-up to build strength, flexibility, and stamina. Each class then focuses on learning a routine over 2–3 weeks, with choreography that varies in style—from classic jazz to funk, lyrical, and more. All levels are welcome, and the emphasis is on enjoying movement and expression through dance.

Adult Ballet for Beginners (Mon 7 - 7:45 pm)

This class is designed for dancers who have completed our Adult Ballet for Absolute Beginners course and are ready to build on their foundational skills with greater depth and confidence.  This class maintains a supportive and welcoming environment while offering the appropriate challenge for dancers progressing beyond the absolute beginner stage. It is ideal for those who want to consolidate their technique, increase fluidity of movement, and continue their ballet journey with structure and purpose.
